Artists of the Oaks –
An Art Club founded in 1977
Artists of the Oaks promotes interest in the arts through educational and informal social activities. Our members enjoy varied presentations given by guest artists at our monthly general meetings.
Membership is open to all interested in art and photography. We are a combination of producing artists, beginners, and people who love art in all its various forms and who enjoy meeting regularly to share this passion
Located in Penn Valley, California, in the beautiful Sierra foothills of Nevada County, Lake Wildwood is a gated community with a population of 5000 professional, business, and retired residents.

Wayne Shaffer
Wayne Shaffer has been creating sculpture since 1980. He has created sculpture in wood, steel, ceramic and stone, but his medium of choice is cast bronze. Currently Wayne continues to work as a sculptor and teacher of visual art for The Crucible in Oakland, CA and The Curiouse Forge in Nevada City, CA.

Steve Egge
Steve Egge creates life-like custom mannequin figures for galleries, museums and private collectors. I have made numerous look-alike figures of famous and not so famous people and more than 1,000 generic figures for everything from amusement park rides to displays for the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum.
